Genesis 2

  • 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
  • 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Ok so a god gets tired and needs rest?

Why would god need to create a tree of life, or a tree of knowledge of good and evil? Is he trying to dumb down his creation, or is that he made man imperfect in the first place?

  • 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thoumayest freely eat:
  • 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Ok we know the outcome, but I find it funny that you would put something in place and tell adam, you cant eat that. Come on anyone that has been around children knows, you don't put a plate of cookies in front of them, and say you can look at them, but you cant eat them. Come on get real, as soon as you turn around the kid will probably eat a cookie.

  • 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
  • 2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

Come on even to this day we are still finding animals that have rarely been seen. I love the last few words, was adam supposed to find a mate in the animals? Was god telling adam to be in to bestiality?

PER SAB
(2:19-22)
"But for Adam there was not found an help meet for him."
God makes the animals and parades them before Adam to see if any would strike his fancy. But none seem to have what it takes. (Although he was tempted to go for the sheep.)
When were humans created?
When was Eve created?
